TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
In addition to its heritage, headed
by the Teatro Romano (Roman
Theatre), its military past is evident
in its museums and buildings.
Cartagena offers visitors endless
options such as a visit to ARQUA,
the home of the treasure of La
Mercedes, or sailing in catamaran
around the bay of its port, which
houses large cruise ships, reason
why its streets are always bustling
and which are the stage for festivals
and cultural initiatives of all
kinds. And there is nothing better
than to relax in one of the terraces
wherein to partake and savour the
local specialties, such as the caldero
rice, the michirones or the famous
‘Asiático’ coffee (coffee condensed
milk and brandy, and a splash of
‘Licor 43’ liqueur, cinnamon and
lemon zest).
UNIQUE SETTINGS FOR YOUR
BUSINESS MEETINGS
Cartagena offers eye-catching options. In very few
cities can meetings be held in archaeological site.
El Teatro Romano (Roman Theatre), the Augusteum,
Fuerte de Navidad (Christmas Fort), Muralla Púnica
(Punic Wall) or the Civil War Shelters make available to
companies a certain number of its rooms. Or the holding
of conferences with the sea as a backdrop. The National
Museum of Underwater Archaeology (ARQUA)
similarly provides a certain number of its rooms to the
conference organiser.
HOTELS
Its accommodation network, with over 5,000 beds in
3, 4 and 5 star hotels which include 23 rooms in 9 of
these hotels with a capacity for 1,200 people. Just 10
minutes away from the city, the La Manga Club Resort,
together with the Hotel Príncipe Felipe, a five star
hotel, has been named for the fifth consecutive year as
the Best Resort/Golf in Spain by the prestigious Today’s
Golfer.
